Akagera Medicines is a Multicultural Biotech Company.

We are majority-owned by the people of Rwanda through the Rwanda Social Security Board, which represents 14 million citizens.

• The Majority of the Board of Directors are African, and it will always be so. Africans work with us on our Science Advisory Board and Business Advisory Board.

• We are citizens of India, Russia, Israel, the USA, Ireland, Rwanda, Nepal, China, Canada, Germany, Afghanistan, and France.

• The ages of the people in our company span from college interns to nearly 70 years old on both the science and business sides.

• And women represent 6 out of the 23 seats of our three combined boards. This is compared to the 1 out of 7 women in senior leadership of all STEM companies, and 1 out of 20 women on boards for STEM companies in the USA.

This is still a long way from achieving what Rwandan society has achieved in its parliament, a 2/3 majority of women!
